I am currently working on a project involving phylogeographic concordance between sedge species at several spatial scales in the Rocky Mountains. 

My dissertation research focused on studying the comparative phylogeography of several species of mangroves in the Caribbean.

This video highlights the incredibly important ecosystem services that mangroves provide, and describes some recent work on red mangroves in Florida using genetic tools (from this paper published in Scientific Reports: Hodel et al. 2017)
